If you’re in search of a more rural setting that’s not too far from everyday conveniences, Goochland County offers a serene landscape and large lots with a little more breathing room.
Situated to the west of the city and Henrico County, Goochland’s gentle rolling hills and wooded acres will make you feel right at home. County residents are consistently ranked among the state–and nation’s–wealthiest, and as such, you’ll find a lot of high-end homes in the county. There’s a little something for every budget range and taste, however.
You can enjoy easy access to the conveniences of Short Pump in the eastern portion of the county, along with a number of county shopping and fine dining options. It’s also a haven for golf lovers with the Kinloch and Sycamore Creek golf courses, as well as Bogey’s Sports Park.
The western area features a number of Goochland County homes in a pristine pastoral setting pierced only by Route 250 and Interstate 64 and convenient access to the ever-popular Goochland Drive-In Theater, which draws visitors from all over the region.
